Job Overview
As a Web Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications. This role involves working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms (such as WordPress and Shopify), and MySQL databases. You’ll collaborate with designers and developers to build responsive, scalable, and visually appealing solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Development:
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize and manage WordPress and Shopify sites, ensuring optimal user experience.
- Database Management:
- Work with MySQL databases to design, implement, and maintain data-driven features.
- Write and optimize complex queries for high performance.
- Framework Utilization:
- Use the Bootstrap framework to build responsive, mobile-first web pages and interfaces.
- Implement custom themes, plugins, and e-commerce features for WordPress and Shopify.
- Coding Standards:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that aligns with modern web standards.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize for maximum speed.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging:
- Diagnose and resolve issues across multiple devices and platforms.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure functional alignment with design requirements.
- Trend Awareness:
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- HTML & CSS:
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design principles, Flexbox, and Grid layouts.
- JavaScript Proficiency:
- Skilled in JavaScript, with experience in libraries like jQuery; familiarity with frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.
- CMS Experience:
- Expertise in Shopify and WordPress, including theme development, customization, and WooCommerce for e-commerce.
- Database Skills:
- Proficient in MySQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Frameworks & Tools:
- Familiarity with Bootstrap for front-end development and experience using version control (Git) and project management tools (Jira, Trello).
- Problem-Solving & Communication:
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication, and a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- JavaScript Frameworks:
- Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- API Integrations:
- Knowledge of RESTful or GraphQL API integration.
- Backend Development:
- Experience with Node.js or PHP.
- Cloud & Containerization:
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or other cloud-based tools.
Education & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of professional web development experience, demonstrating the ability to create high-quality, user-focused web applications.
